So my friend and colleague Alex married his beautiful wife Mariella last weekend in Lima, Peru! She is originally from there so they had a traditional wedding. Honestly one of the best weddings I have ever been too. I mean dancing horses!
I definitely enjoyed the open bar and amazing dance floor. Have a look!
1 colleague and her boyfriend flew in from Rio while another one of our colleagues from the Embassy there in Lima also attended. A very nice reunion of sorts.
Speaking of the embassy!
Had some time to para-glide for the first time. Unreal experience.
I also visited the Monastery of San Francisco in Lima.
I got a personal tour because there was no other English speakers there at the time. The library was amazing and one thing that really struck me was the symbol there. Couldn’t find a pic of it but it stands for the 3 vowels that all friars take: poverty, chastity, and obedience.

Of course the sunset from my friend’s apartment is amazing!
Well it’s Super Bowl Sunday so I am gonna sign off with a picture describing my feelings on that matter. Thanks for reading as always and look for another post soon about my thoughts on living in Brazil!
