I got to admit I am watching intently on this new Secretary of State sweepstakes that President-elect Trump is doing. I will be proud to serve whoever he appoints, but we all have our favorites right?
Otherwise things are moving along well. We have a Facebook group for our class, are starting to have happy hours, and are in communication with our welcoming committee.
I just had a great Thanksgiving break back in Pittsburgh and am looking forward to 3 weeks for Christmas and New Years between my current job and starting January 9th. Not having to move here for training is saving me a ton of work. While I will not get the free housing or per diem, I have little to worry about as I transition into the Department of State.
